The Shimadzu AXIMA Performance is a high-performance MALDI-TOF/TOF mass spectrometer engineered for advanced biomolecular research. Utilizing high-energy CID MS/MS at 20 keV, it delivers unmatched sensitivity and precision for complex sample analysis. With a mass range from 1 Da to >500 kDa and resolution of 5000 FWHM in linear mode vs 1-80kDa and 20000 FWHM in reflectron mode, it supports peptides, proteins, polymers, oligonucleotides, and metabolites. Features include the monoPULSE™ ion gate for superior precursor ion selection, curved field reflectron (CFR) for high-quality spectra, and Low Mass Zoom™ (LMZ) for enhanced quantitation. Powerful, it supports manual or automated workflows, LC-MALDI integration, and automated protein identification via Mascot® database searching.
